Self-Discovery Through The Spirit & Way of The Horse

A 6-Week Personal & Spiritual Growth Study Programme for Women

When: 26th February - 2nd April 2023
Sundays 2pm - 4.30pm

Venue: Camlad Barns, Bishop’s Castle, Shropshire, England, SY9 5JL

Join us for an immersion into the beauty and depths of Horse Wisdom for self-discovery and healing
with Angela Dunning Eponaquest EFL facilitator; Trauma-Sensitive HeartMath Practitioner and author of ‘The Horse Leads the Way’.

Each week we’ll explore a different theme (see below) of equine wisdom and guidance for healing and growth.

Emphasis will be on accessing and nurturing your authentic-self, supported by gentle embodiment practices, including HeartMath practices; working with non-verbal communication for better connections to people and animals; developing emotional intelligence for well-being, and learning self and co-regulation for coherence, congruence and stress-relief.

We’ll also be engaging with equine archetypes, myths, spirit-guides and dream images for insight and guidance.

All of the course content and materials are underpinned by the Eponaquest approach; Shamanism and Jungian depth psychology, as well as trauma-sensitive HeartMath practices.

  • Timings: The sessions are 2.5hrs each week on Sundays 2pm - 4.30pm, this will include a break.
  • This is a study-based programme only – there are no interactions with horses. *However please note: There are horses at the facility and if they are out and the weather is okay we have the possibility to observe them from a distance, and/or do some embodiment practices near to their fields. Hopefully, we will be able to fit this in as and when it feels right during the sessions but this is not a guaranteed part of the course.

  • No previous knowledge of Equine Facilitated Therapy or Learning is required, or of any of the content. However you are also very welcome to join if you are a practitioner yourself or have previous experience of any of the above content.
  • This course serves as a stand-alone course and also as a prelude to doing further work with me and the horses, or with your own horse.
  • Each week there will be further suggested reflections and practices to do between sessions.
  • A certificate of attendance will be issued on completion.
